The BCI Asia Top 10 Awards for 2010 were presented to Aedas Vietnam Ltd., Archipel JSC, Fosup Holdings Co., I.C.P. International Technical Construction Consultant Co., Ong & Ong Co., RSP Architects Planners & Engineers (Vietnam) Co., Sunjin Vietnam JVC, Transform Architecture Co., TT-As Architecture-Construction JSC and Vietnam National Construction Consultant Corp.

The portfolios of these architecture firms contain US$6 billion worth of properties scheduled to start construction in Vietnam this year, according to the organizer.

Matthias Krups, chairman of BCI Asia, said in a statement that the top ten architecture firms had turned the corporate objectives of clients into buildings that work for on Monday’s environment.

This is the 6th annual BCI Asia Top 10 Awards to celebrate the achievements of architecture firms in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

BCI also named winners of its green building design competition called FuturArc Prize 2010, which is organized to seek new paradigms for designing a sustainable home.

In the professional category, Singaporean architects took home the first and second prizes and shared third prize with a competitor from Indonesia. Meanwhile, competitors from Hong Kong, Thailand and Australia dominated the top three prizes for the student category.

Last year, Vietnamese designers swept the two categories of the international design competition, winning both the professional and student design contests for green buildings.
