Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, PR director of Fiditour, told the Daily, “Last year, travelers booked tours for their summer vacation ten days before departing, but this summer they have registered two weeks and more before departing. Therefore, we have received more than 3,000 guests for half of the month.”

Explaining the reason for the early registrations, Le Hong Viet Thao from Vietravel said, “Tour programs of this year are various and tour operators have opened more new tours. Moreover, travel agencies offer more promotions to customers in order to stimulate tourism such as discounts or gifts from a lucky draw. So, we attract tourists sooner.”

Domestic destinations attracting the most attention are beaches such as Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Phu Quoc or highlands such as Dalat, Ba Na and Sapa. Nguyen Chung Thuy, manager of the PR Department of Lua Viet Tours, said “tourists choose these destinations due to hot weather and the habit of Vietnamese travelers.”

Domestic travel agencies increase the numbers of tours and tourists that they will serve such as Vietravel will organize a tour for 70,000 customers and Fiditour 35,000 for 400 summer tours.

Foreign destinations that draw many tourists are China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, the U.S. and European countries. Saigontourist is an example, attracting more than 2,000 tourists for their high standard tours Premium Travel going to these places.
