The new managing board – who will represent the club’s fifth term – consists of nine male members, mostly born in the 1980s.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, born in 1981 and manager of Ngac Nhien Service Trading and Construction Co., Ltd was voted the 2030 Businessmen Club’s new chairman.

During this office term, the club will abolish previous age limitations (from 20 to 39). The club will be open to all enterprises’ managers and senior executives at any age.

Tran Dinh Vinh, deputy editor-in-chief of the Saigon Times Group and chairman of the Saigon Times Club, said the club’s predominantly young membership would signal a new generation.

“After eight years of operation with many highlighted activities attached to young businessmen under 40, the new managing board is considered as a transition from the 1960s and 1970s generations to the 1980s generation who, it is hoped will demonstrate creativity and connectivity,” he said.

To mark this special occasion, the managing board has admitted 15 new members, raising the club’s total membership to 250 people.
